Associate members
The seven associate members and their two respective alternates are appointed by order of the Minister responsible for civil aviation for a renewable three-year term.
They are:
- two representatives of the aeronautical professions;
- two representatives of associations of residents living near airfields;
- a representative of nationally approved environmental protection associations;
- a representative of businesses located near airfields impacted by airport activity;
- a representative of the minister responsible for civil aviation.
Associate members participate in the exercise of sanctioning powers by attending sessions organized as a court, without taking part in the deliberations of the board.
They maintain a close relationship with the supervisory authority and are called upon to contribute to the Authority's other missions through studies, meetings, or seminars. Associate members, whether full or alternate, appointed by ministerial decree, lose their membership status if they cease to hold the qualification by virtue of which they were appointed.
